…Listen, everyone has a chance.
Is it spring, is it morning?
Are there trees near you,
and does your own soul need comforting?
Quick, then— open the door and fly on your heavy feet; the song
may already be drifting away.

Owls and Other Fantasies: Poems and Essays
I find myself facing some difficult tasks this week, confronting some of the past’s loose ends. This poem, along with the trees, is bringing my soul comfort right now. I am thankful for the reminder to fly, to take my worries outdoors, to listen to what the trees have to say. Right now they speak of peace, of beauty, of love – the measure of creation. There is always so much to be thankful for — just step outside.
What is bringing your soul comfort right now?
